After five years of American Furniture Warehouse being a fantastic corporate sponsor of Interact’s Crutches for Africa project, they are no longer able to, due to growth. In 2020, due to Covid, nothing was able to be sent. This resulted in quantities piling up. In 2021 we sent the fourth load to Kenya, and added the first load to Mexico. This still left large quantities of mobility devices at AFW. Ron Williams, coordinating with Lauren Lukas [AFW], Erik Friend [Cuernavaca Mexico], and Art Harrington organized two large U-Haul truck loads to Nogales, AZ. These devices will be temporarily stored by Nogales Rotary, and soon sent on to Cuernavaca, Mexico.
